Hip Hop Nationalism Free Essays

Hip jump is a type of workmanship that has been well known for as long as twenty years. In spite of the fact that individuals as of late frequently botch rap music as indecent and rude, the hip bounce network keeps on giving an extraordinary method to channel feeling and soul into their music. In his article, â€Å"The State of Rap: Time and Place† Jeffrey Louis Decker delineates the dark patriotism inside the hip jump network by investigating how Black Nationalism can be represented inside the hip bounce music. We will compose a custom paper test on Hip Hop Nationalism or on the other hand any comparative subject just for you Request Now Before hip jump was brought into the American culture, the dark network felt as though their place of starting point was Africa. This was where the dark network romanticized their own legislative issues (Decker 2008, 54). Garveyism, presented by Marcus Garvey, started the early Black Nationalist developments. During the Black Nationalist development it advanced a variety of dark pride which later gave incredible motivation to up and coming hip jump craftsmen who â€Å"rapped† to their crowd the battles of the regular dark person. The styles of craftsmen later turned out to be more â€Å"Afrocentric† which implied that the music spun around communicating worth. Craftsman, for example, Afrika Bambaataa acquainted his style of music with the world having his music known as the most punctual type of hip jump. Concerning ladies, they were keen on advancing that they were from â€Å"Mother Africa†. Ladies hip jump craftsman were interested by dark ladies freedom, so the vast majority of them began to consolidate those thoughts in their refrains. There are rap tunes that advance the aggressor â€Å"Nation of Islam† which later got known as the Black Panther Party. As more treacheries happen to the dark network, hip jump music turned into a platform to voice their suppositions. For instance, when Rodney King was fiercely beat by the LAPD on March 3, 1991 (Decker 2008). The entire Rodney King episode subsequently gave Ice Cube motivation for his collection Death Certificate. Hip jump craftsmen are typically not associated with legislative issues yet are most firmly engaged with the social governmental issues which bind to the working and urban poor blacks. Inevitably hip jump specialists later respected themselves by the name â€Å"hip bounce nationalists†. In the sixties, self declared hip jump patriot rapper Paris debut his collection, The Devil Made Me Do It, which communicated something specific on how he anticipates building the dark country. From his tracks â€Å"Panther Power† to â€Å"The Hate That Hate Made†, Paris ensured that his crowd realized he connected with the Black Panther Party. During 1988, hip bounce denoted a milestone on rap music history since the time MTV advanced their hip jump program called â€Å"Yo, MTV Raps! † and around the same time a hip jump gathering, Public Enemy, discharged their subsequent collection, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, which gave the dark patriot its originally announced articulation for two decades. The on numerous occasions the dark network was socially abused, hip jump craftsmen kept on voicing their suppositions. I accept hip bounce is incredible to voice a sentiment and advance self-esteem. Experiences, for example, the Rodney King case started a gigantic shock inside the dark network. Decker specifies in the article that during the Rodney King preliminary, the white officials from LAPD have been absolved by an all-white jury charged for the severity of Rodney King (Decker 2008, 55). Ice Cube was brought in for a meeting, yet he declined in view of the ties he has made with the dark network. Circumstances, for example, the Rodney King trail gave a great deal of social strain among whites and blacks. Decker guarantees that huge numbers of country cognizant rappers, similar to Ice Cube, attempt to support their connections to the dark network which their music is a piece of. Hip bounce craftsmen who rap about Black Nationalism are required in light of the fact that it reveals reality with regards to how whites frequently abuse blacks. Rapping is an approach to communicate one’s assessment and furthermore give viewpoint. Rappers, for example, Paris catch their point of view in their verses they have in his collection, The Devil Made Me Do It. The music that is advanced by the rappers offer the dark populace self-esteem. At that point, the lesson of the dark populace had been at an unequaled low thinking about that blacks were more often than not given the shorter finish of the stick. Little viewpoints living turned out to be progressively tedious to manage. Being that a significant number of the African plummet were slaves, the white populace frequently criticized blacks as though they were creatures. Nonetheless, as hip jump music was presented, it permitted many dark people become pleased that they were from the â€Å"Nation of Islam†. Standard hip bounce music frequently creates music that doesn't speak to what the genuine intensions of rap music. The style of rap music has made it simple for one to voice their conclusions. The specialty of rap has been around since the time the Black Panther Party chose to use dark patriotism in their stanzas. I accept that it was significant for the dark network to advance hip bounce music since it permits one to completely convey their feeling while simultaneously advance self-esteem. Especially for the dark network, I discover it as an extraordinary method to educate the adolescent about this present reality shameful acts their progenitors once lived in. By shouting out, they advanced social fairness basically by having the guts to state what is at the forefront of their thoughts. By comprehension other’s perspective, perhaps we as a whole can understand others in various ethnic gatherings. The most effective method to refer to Hip Hop Nationalism, Papers

Cath Anne: [00:01:56] So today we are doing something a little different. I am sharing a little bit more about my life as a freelancer. And today Im providing you with five things I absolutely can not live without as a freelancer and I hope as students you will relate to this to as many of you know I have been writing with Homework Help Global for over three years and it is a wonderful organization to work for. I am so happy that they helped me kick off my freelance lifestyle and I cant wait to share with you the many things that I cannot live with in my day as a freelancer. OK so a number one on my list. Are these Bose over the ear headphones. Now these are amazing headphones and they were actually gifted to me from my friends at Homework Help Global because we do an amazing podcast which Ill talk about a little bit later. Cath Anne: [00:03:01] These Bose headphones are so amazing. I cannot even express to you how great they are. I dont know what I did without them. Actually I cannot really hear myself talking at the moment because they work so well. I hope Im not talking too loud. But yes, so Ill just see if you guys can see the label there. So these Bose headphones these ones are not wireless. However I do believe you can get wireless ones. Now these are a little bit older however. They work super well. They work well for everything I need them for which I think is a huge testament to the brand Bose itself and I should mention this isnt a paid collaboration or anything like that. Im not being paid to say this. Im just telling you about the amazing things that I need on a day to day basis and this is one of them. Cath Anne: [00:03:57] Whether I am going out into the community to a meeting and I decide to walk I take these with me if Im going to the cafe to do some work these work amazing because I can listen to my music and they block out all the surrounding noise around me while Im also able to be around people and see people I know. The other thing that I really love these for is for podcasting. So we do a great podcast called Student influencers podcast where we talk to students and influencers from all around the world. So whether it is in India or in the US or in Canada we talk to influencers from across the world. And these are the headphones that I use for that. Why are these great for that podcast. Well theyre wonderful because they block out the sound. So when I use my highly sensitive microphone the Yeti stereo microphone these are blocked with the noise coming through from the other end which is absolutely perfect for podcasting because you dont want any noise interference when yo u are podcasting. Now I should mention that if you guys want to be involved in the student influencers podcast make sure to find us on Instagram or email us all of our information is linked in listed in the description box below and connect with us. If you think that a podcast would be interesting to be a participant in if you have a unique vision. If you are an influencer or a student we would love to hear from you. So make sure to hit us up and let us know that youre interested. Cath Anne: [00:05:37] Finally make sure you take a listen to our student influencers podcast and we will also link that in the description multiple though so you can check it out. So the second thing that I absolutely cannot live without. And if youre a follower of the channel you may recognize this from some of our other videos where Ive discussed it in passing or blatantly is a moleskin notebook. I absolutely love these notebooks for many reasons. So the first reason I love moleskin notebook is because its black, its very streamlined and it looks professional when I go into a meeting and I can take notes really easily. Cath Anne: [00:06:15] I love that I can take this wherever I go it fits easily into my backpack or my laptop bag and what I really love about it is that when I take notes or make my daily to do lists everything is in the same book. So I usually invest in one or two of these notebooks at the beginning of the year and they usually both last me throughout the year which I absolutely love keeping everything in one place or one notebook is a lot more organized than only having different random pieces of paper all around the place. So if you are a student or if you are a freelancer I highly recommend getting a few moleskin notebooks, labelling them if you want to and using them to your advantage. Another really great way that I love to use my moleskin notebook is to make my daily to do list and lets see if I can find one here for you. Cath Anne: [00:07:08] So here is an example of my one of my daily to do lists. So what I do on a daily basis is I go through my agenda and I look at what I have on the agenda for the day and if I have any specific deadlines I then write that down in my daily to do list and when I have finished a task I check it off with a colored marker or a colored pen. Cath Anne: [00:07:34] Now Ill tell you why this is beneficial. 1 When you write things down you can prioritize. So I would recommend prioritizing three tasks in the day by limiting your tasks to three. You are allowing yourself to be more productive and avoiding the overwhelm that comes with too many tasks. Even though I do write down other smaller tasks throughout the day I definitely prioritize only three tasks for the day. And this is something that I would recommend to you whether youre a freelancer a person that works in an office or if youre a student. The second reason that I think writing your lists like this is a great idea is because you can go through and check things off checking things off. Especially in a different color allows you to increase your motivation. So once you have finished one of your priorities for the day. Check that off and it is going to make you feel productive and that you have completed something. Its going to give you energy and fuel to move on to your next task. Finally one of my favorite reasons for using a most skin notebook is that it allows me to have a log of all of the work that Ive completed. So if youre like me you might be a person who never thinks they do enough. So in a day you might do a ton of different tasks but you dont write them down or you dont document them in any way. And I think this can relate to a student anyone in their own business. A freelancer or even anyone who is working in a 9 to 5 type of traditional job. When you write things down in list form and check them off it gives you an intentional log of what you have done for the day. So if you have a tendency to get down on yourself or think youre not doing enough go back to your notebook and look at what you have done in the day and you will realize that you are much more productive than you ever thought. So the third thing that I absolutely can not live without and Im sure Im not the only one is of course my phone and my lightning charger now beca use I am a freelancer. I go out into community a lot I have meetings I go to cafes to work and even when Im home I use my phone a lot. I have a lot of different apps on there. I do a lot of other peoples social media so having a lightning charger or several is absolutely integral to the work I try to never leave the house without taking my lightning charger with me. And if youre like me I would recommend that you do the same. So definitely my phone and my lightning charger are up there on things that I can not live without. I also wanted to mention that I have a lot of really great apps for productivity for meal ducking for work tracking and for invoicing things like that around freelancing and I was wondering if anyone would have an interest in me providing some info around that. So that something that you are interested in if youd like to know some of my favorite apps that are on my phone. Definitely jump into the comments section below and let us know if that is something that yo ud be interested in hearing about. OK. Cath Anne: [00:11:01] So the next thing that I wanted to mention is something that is relatively new to me and that is theres a little wallet and you might be like whatever its just a wallet. However it is simply perfect for carrying business cards. And this is something that I always tend to forget when I go out into community or to meetings which is so silly because people ask for your business card and Im not used to carrying one. So this little number has been great for me to just throw in my bag throw my laptop bag and take with me this little wallet is from a brand called some mirror and they make a vegan leather products and its just perfect. This little one is just perfect for carrying business cards so Ill show you it just pops open like this and then I keep my business cards right in here which I absolutely love. So the other reason I really love this is because its also perfect for when people give me their business cards I can keep it in here and then I have everyones bu siness card all in one spot. Even though we are living in a digital age and we communicate a lot on our computers there is something to be said about carrying a business card and having a snapshot of who you are what you do and how to get a hold of you. So I definitely recommend if youre in your third or fourth year of university to look into getting a business card created with your profession and your future degree on it. This will come in handy at networking events and let people know how to get hold of you. So this one is going to be a little bit silly but the this saying that I simply cannot live without. As a freelancer. Are my plants and my candles. And this might be something that youve noticed. If youve been watching our videos for a while I always have plants in the background and I usually have a candle lit and Ill tell you why this is. I work a lot from home. I do go out to community sometimes however most of my days are spent at home so I want to make sure that I can se t the tone for when Im working. Every morning when I wake up. Before I start working I light a vanilla scented candle. Ive really been loving the vanilla candles from Ikea. I also like vanilla soy candles and green apple candles have really been up there lately for me too. I always also have at least one or two plants on my desk at any given time as well as. Throughout my house. And Ill tell you why this is this is because I work alone. I work by myself and I work in my house. I need things that are going to inspire me. I mean things that are going to set the tone for my work day. Its really easy to get distracted by the dishes or the laundry that has to be done. So setting the tone for my day and placing beautiful things around me inspires me to create and motivates me to keep going throughout the day. Now this isnt just for freelancers. This is something that I would recommend for anyone thats working from home. And this includes people like students. So when you are going to stud y light a candle diffuse some essential oils or put some plants around you. This is going to help you to focus and to feel relaxed when you are trying to do something that is maybe not your favorite activity. I talk more about this in episode 53 of The Homework Help Show so definitely make sure to check that out and we will link that in the description box below. Cath Anne: [00:14:49] OK guys so thats it for me this week. I hope that you enjoyed this video and that this is the style of video that youd like to see more of. 3 SEO Tips for First-Timers

SEO is an essential tool in any writer’s arsenal, but if you’re new to SEO it can seem daunting. The good news is that as complex as it all sounds, the job of the writer can be whittled down to a few very simple concepts, and once you learn these then you can tackle any SEO writing project with complete confidence. 3. It Has to be Unique This is a no-brainer, but it’s worth mentioning nonetheless: the content has to be unique. Some clients take this demand too far and actually suffer as a result. For instance, while you don’t want to create copied content, it can be beneficial to include a quote. If you’re writing about evolution, for instance, a quote from Darwin, followed by relevant text (more on that below) would be very useful, but that quote would also drop the Copyscape score and send the client into a panic. As a result, writers avoid quotes and even common expressions, and this further muddies the quality of the piece. So, originality is key and you should never copy, but don’t worry about quotes, even if they take a few percentage points from your Copyscape score. 2. It Has to be Relevant This seems like another no-brainer, but again, there some amendments worth mentioning. Firstly, the relevancy doesn’t just account for the article content, it should also account for the author. Google is paying more attention to authors and their credentials. If a qualified doctor with an extensive publication history writes an article on health, they’ll get priority over someone who is seen as a quack. In fact, with the new changes to the algorithm, the latter may even be blacklisted! This may not seem very helpful as a freelance writer, but it is. If you have been in the job for a few years and have a wealth of publications to your name in a specific sector, you could be more in demand for other sites in that sector. If you have qualifications relating to the subject in question, even better. The key takeaway here is that relevancy is at most essential and at least helpful. Good Writing is Key Forget about keywords—Google is increasingly rewarding good writing and improving its algorithm to a point where this is the only thing that will matter. After all, Google wants to place the best articles at the top of its search results, not just the ones that have the best keyword density. It now places less emphasis on specific keywords and how many times they are used, and focuses more on keyword phrases and keywords surrounded by relevant text. As an example, let’s imagine that you’re establishing an SEO business and want to target the keyword: law firm SEO, in order to attract a specific type of customer. The old approach would be to use this keyword, and variants of it, throughout an article. It would be done in unnatural ways such as â€Å"SEO law firm best† and â€Å"SEO for lawyer, [insert region name]† (most writers have first hand experience of being told to accommodate keywords like this) and it would create an article that is barely comprehensible. Google doesn’t want to give priority to such articles, so it’s now focusing on several other determining factors. If you just wrote a guide to what an SEO law firm should offer and how they should accommodate legal clients in particular, Google would pick up on the use of clean, cohesive and natural phrases and it’s these that it would give priority to in the rankings.

How to Find the Inner and Outer Fences

One feature of a data set that is important to determine is if it contains any outliers. Outliers are intuitively thought of as values in our set of data that differ greatly from a majority of the rest of the data. Of course, this understanding of outliers is ambiguous. To be considered as an outlier, how much should the value deviate from the rest of the data? Is what one researcher calls an outlier going to match with another’s? In order to provide some consistency and a quantitative measure for the determination of outliers, we use inner and outer fences. To find the inner and outer fences of a set of data, we first need a few other descriptive statistics. We will begin by calculating quartiles. This will lead to the interquartile range. Finally, with these calculations behind us, we will be able to determine the inner and outer fences. Quartiles The first and third quartiles are part of the five number summary of any set of quantitative data. We begin by finding the median or the midway point of the data after all of the values are listed in ascending order. The values less than the median corresponding to roughly half of the data. We find the median of this half of the data set, and this is the first quartile. In a similar way, we now consider the upper half of the data set. If we find the median for this half of the data, then we have the third quartiles. These quartiles get their name from the fact that they split the data set into four equal sized portions, or quarters. So in other words, roughly 25% of all of the data values are less than the first quartile. In a similar way, approximately 75% of the data values are less than the third quartile. Interquartile Range We next need to find the interquartile range (IQR). This is easier to calculate than the first quartile q1 and the third quartile q3. All that we need to do is to take the difference of these two quartiles. This gives us the formula: IQR Q3 - Q1 The IQR tells us how spread out the middle half of our data set is. Find the Inner Fences We can now find the inner fences. We start with the IQR and multiply this number by 1.5. We then subtract this number from the first quartile. We also add this number to the third quartile. These two numbers form our inner fence. Find the Outer Fences For the outer fences, we start with the IQR and multiply this number by 3. We then subtract this number from the first quartile and add it to the third quartile. These two numbers are our outer fences. Detecting Outliers The detection of outliers now becomes as easy as determining where the data values lie in reference to our inner and outer fences. If a single data value is more extreme than either of our outer fences, then this is an outlier and is sometimes referred to as a strong outlier. If our data value is between a corresponding inner and outer fence, then this value is a suspected outlier or a mild outlier. We will see how this works with the example below. Example Suppose that we have calculated the first and third quartile of our data, and have found these values to the 50 and 60, respectively. The interquartile range IQR 60 – 50 10. Next, we see that 1.5 x IQR 15. This means that the inner fences are at 50 – 15 35 and 60 15 75. This is 1.5 x IQR less than the first quartile, and more than the third quartile. We now calculate 3 x IQR and see that this is 3 x 10 30. The outer fences are 3 x IQR more extreme that the first and third quartiles. This means that the outer fences are 50 - 30 20 and 60 30 90. Any data values that are less than 20 or greater than 90, are considered outliers. Any data values that are between 29 and 35 or between 75 and 90 are suspected outliers.

When he is approaching nearer to being and his eye is turned towards more real existence, he has a clearer vision (Plato, 2). Platos Allegory of the Cave can be interpreted in many different ways. It can be used to describe a variety of governments and its influence on the people, yet it can also be used in a religious sense as well. Don’t waste time! Our writers will create an original "What is Plato trying to say in the Allegory of the Cave?" essay for you Create order Even though Plato is writing from a non-Christian point of view, the Allegory of the Cave still serves as an illustration of a Christian Truth, that being those who are bonded to sin and darkness have difficulty pursuing righteousness and light, yet those who chose to seek the brighter light outside will benefit ones sanctification. At the beginning of the allegory, Plato describes the setting of the cave. The underground cave contains a mouth openly facing the light, which reaches along the cave. Those who are walking in the cave are bound by chains. The bindings are attached to their legs and necks, and while being forced to look only onward, it prevented the turning of their heads to see what was beyond the cave. On the other side, a blazing fire was used to cast the shadows of figures that were cast upon the walls of the cavern. The captives were only able to see those shadows, which they believed were their reality. The first part of the allegory is the bindings and the shadows. The cave that the people were in was a prison to them, and those in the cave have been enslaved since their childhoods. The prisoners are bound by chains, which made the prisoners unable to move. The shadows were cast upon the wall that the prisoners were forced to face. Since these shadows were the only thing the prisoners saw, they couldnt comprehend that there was a truer and greater reality waiting for them on the outside of the cave. If one was to attempt to look onward to the light outside, then he would experience severe suffering, for the light outside was so blinding. The prisoners were so used to the shadows, and the reality that they were forced to see, that they couldnt comprehend the light outside. These shadows were just a mere disguise, camouflaging the prisoners from what was real and true. Those who are bonded to sin have shadows in their own lives. They cannot see what is righteous and genuine, since th ey arent opening themselves up to the idea that the reality they see is simply an illusion. Sinners choose to only see the fake reality that is brought forth to their attention, while those who belong to God are able to see past the illusions, and look towards Christ. There is much more to life that meets the eye. However, the prisoners were forced to only see what was in front of them, because the shackles prohibited them from seeing a true reality. One day, a man came into the cave and released one of the prisoners. When his chains were broken, the captive, now living in freedom, walked along the side of the cave, watching the other prisoners. He noticed how the shadows on the walls were not real, and they were just the reflections of figures that were cast upon the wall. He saw how the prisoners were unable to see anything but the fake realities set forth for them. Once the man reached the mouth of the cave, he stepped out of the cave to see true light and sun for the very first time. His first step into the light brought him into a state of blindness, for he lived his entire life in the darkness of the cave. The power of true light was so overwhelming for him, that the reality that he once knew vanished into thin air. This man is an example of how those who are bound to sin are stuck living in the fake reality set up for them. Conversely, when they understand that they can live in the shadows no more, they are able to live a free life in the light, and that righteousness that they are stepping into makes them into a completely changed person. Their reality that they believed to once be true, is true no more. Everything they once lived for has absolutely no meaning, for they have found righteousness by pursing the light. The man who walked out of the cave and into the light left behind his old life, and his interpretations of his old reality, and moved toward living in a true reality. He stepped toward the light, hoping that the bondage he was once enslaved to is no more. By turning to the light, he is now able to live in a true life without sin having a hold onto him, just like how the freed man isnt bound to anymore more chains. In the bible, Isaiah 42:6-7 states, I, theLord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the cap tives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons. This verse means
